Recycling Step by Step

Project Duration: 2023-2024
Project No: 2022-1-TR01-KA210-ADU-000084308.
The project “Recycling Step by Step, If the Future is What You Walk” is a two-year Erasmus+ initiative running from January 2023 to December 2024, coordinated by the Sarayköy Public Education Center in Turkey alongside partners from Spain, Finland, and Italy. It is specifically designed to address global environmental challenges by increasing the ecological sensitivity of adult learners and promoting conscious consumer habits. Through international collaboration, the project explores different cultural approaches to sustainability, focusing on reducing food waste, minimizing plastic use, and fostering a deeper understanding of the “Zero Waste” philosophy to protect the world’s ecological balance.
Implementation of the project involved hands-on workshops and practical training sessions across all partner countries, such as textile upcycling in Finland and visitations to advanced recycling facilities in Spain. Participants learned to transform waste materials like unused fabrics, glass, and paper into functional products, culminating in exhibitions and the establishment of a specialized recycling library. By sharing these results and experiences, the project seeks to encourage long-term social change and empower individuals to adopt sustainable lifestyles that minimize their environmental footprint.ch Italien utbildningscenter, Turkiet Yeşilsu VET-skolan och Estland.
